Why informative and Persuasive speaking is crucial in business
Today I will share with everyone the differences between informative and persuasive speaking. And share the reasons why they are both crucial in various business contexts.
In informative speaking you are basically sharing information with your audience. For example, you can share the history of your company, inform your audience about the quarterly profit, share information about a new product that’s arriving, etc. The times I have used informative speaking are when I must share to my crew a new policy, a procedure, or a special event that happening.
Persuasive speaking has the same elements in it as informative speaking. like using statistics, facts, examples, and stories. But the only difference is yours are trying to convince your audience to look at it from your point of view. for example, whenever my crew comes in to work and noticed the dock is in bad condition. I will have to try motivating them to see it from my point of view. So, the crew could be productive for today.
Both speaking styles are crucial in business because informative speaking you will have to inform your audience of important things that need to be shared. And in persuasive speaking. Sometimes you must persuade your audience to look at something from your point of view to get a positive outcome out of them.
